The overviewOrganizations use management development to increase the likelihood that employees will be of value in achieving corporate goals. At least that’s the theory - increase their knowledge of management research and practice and thereby their skill and thus the return. But how can this investment be levered to increase the probability that organizational achievement will be the outcome? Link management development with strategy is the answer. Some may wonder if the effort is worth it. But most buy in because of the frenetic change found in the external marketplace, along with evolving employee-employer relations.
