Please Help Call of the Wild to Make a Difference
On the 2nd Dec 2009, the Directors of Call of the Wild sat down to discuss some options for the best way to acknowledge the 10th anniversary of the company-over a few glasses of wine!
The question we asked ourselves was-How to celebrate the always exciting and sometimes challenging journey that has taken us from a laptop and a great deal of self belief-to the current position of a multi award winning development organisation, with its roots firmly in Wales but with the objective of making a real difference to our clients throughout the UK?
The metaphor of a journey and our vision of making a difference were recurring themes during our increasingly animated conversations (wine has that effect on us). And the concept of a charity cycle ride from John O’Groats to Land’s end was born.
This idea of a challenging journey which would need real commitment focus, organisation and a little bit of blind optimism seemed to capture the whole ethos and history of the company and would enable us to also generate a considerable amount of sponsorship for a charity close to our hearts- Cancer Research.
We would therefore like to invite you as clients and suppliers who share part of our history, to help us raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity whilst celebrating the 10th anniversary of our organisation.
We are always a little reluctant to ask too often for sponsorship from our Clients and Suppliers as we are fully aware of the often onerous demands on companies for charitable causes. However in good faith we ask you all to be as generous as you can, because we have personal reasons for our choice of charity and would really like to wring as much benefit for Cancer Research as possible out of what should be a truly memorable experience.
We are undertaking the ride from the 6th-16th of October 2010 and our chosen route will take us from the very North of the
